History of The Claridge
The Claridge, one of Birmingham's four original apartment hotels, was completed in 1924.
This Colonial Revival style building has retained all of its original character and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Standing at 115-foot tall, the 10-story brick apartment building was developed by John D. Turner of Birmingham.
Highland Park
The Highland Park neighborhood is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Birmingham, Alabama. Originally developed as a suburb of Birmingham by the Elyton Land Company, it lies approximately two miles south of the city’s central business district and is one of the more prosperous and diverse neighborhoods within the city.
